With earthquakes by force from 7 points and above, the technical conditions provide for a number of special measures that ensure the stability of buildings and structures.
The most stable seismic terms are rocky and semi -sloping rocks. Unstable breeds include gravel, sand and loom saturated with water, as well as plastic clay rocks. It is very difficult to ensure the stability of buildings and structures located in areas with a highly dissected relief, along the steep shores, in ravines, gorges, on weathered soils and disturbed rocks, in the landslide zone or near the lines of tectonic ruptures.
It is dangerous to build structures in the flooded or swampy territories, as well as areas with a close occurrence of groundwater levels, on bulk soils, landslides and in the field of development of voids near the Earth’s surface. In such areas, it is recommended to arrange significant gaps between buildings. The width of the streets should be more than usual norms. Exit from buildings and apartments should be arranged on two sides. If necessary, the basements of the basements should be provided under the whole building, and not under one part of it, laying foundations at one mark, without ledges.
The number of storeys of reinforced concrete buildings is not limited. Brick buildings are not recommended to erect more than 3-5 floors, and special anti -Eismic reinforced concrete belts should be arranged.
